Install Instructions for 75-5115

Before You Start

This intake kit may not fit with the following Aftermarket Parts installed:

Body Lift or Lowering Kit

Custom Hood

Throttle Body Spacer / Upgrade


  • Please read the entire product guide before proceeding.
  • Ensure all parts are present.
  • If you are missing any of the components, call our customer support at (909) 947-0015.
  • Do not work on your vehicle while the engine is hot.
  • Make sure the engine is turned off and the vehicle is in Park or the Parking Brake is set.


Required Tools

  • 10mm, 12mm, & 13mm Socket/Wrench
  • 5/16” Socket or nut driver
  • Phillips Screwdriver
  • Panel popper or Flat head Screwdriver

STEP 1

With the ignition switched off and the parking brake set, disconnect the negative battery cable on the driver's side.

IMPORTANT: Failure to disconnect the battery for a minimum of 2 hours may cause the Check Engine Light to illuminate upon completion of the installation or subsequent operation. DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP!

STEP 2

Lift and pull to remove the engine cover from the vehicle.


STEP 3

Disconnect the CCV hose from the intake tube by moving the clamp and pulling the hose. Also, disconnect and remove the stock vacuum line from the resonator and on the engine side.

Disconnect the electrical harness at the MAF sensor.


STEP 5

Use a panel popper to disconnect the electrical harness clip attached to the airbox and resonator.


STEP 6

Remove the bolt securing the resonator and loosen the clamp at the throttle body. Unlatch the clips securing the lid to the airbox then remove the lid, resonator and intake tube from the vehicle.

STEP 7

Remove the stock air filter from the stock airbox.


STEP 8

Loosen and remove the three bolts securing the base of the airbox to the vehicle then remove the airbox.

STEP 9

Remove the resonator support bracket by removing the bolt securing it to the engine. 


STEP 10

Install the fender seal on to the airbox fender opening


STEP 11

Install the Tube seal onto the Airbox.


STEP 12

Determine if you want to install the Box Plug (F) onto the Airbox (A) or leave it open. See the “Air Box Plug” note on Page 2 for more information. If the Box Plug (F) is desired, simply press the Box Plug (F) into the box opening until it snaps into place.


STEP 13

Insert the airbox into the engine bay, lining up the fender seal with the fender opening, and the 3 mounting holes with the mounting points. Secure the airbox using the supplied M8 screws and washers.


STEP 14

Place the Air Filter (C) in the Airbox (A).


STEP 15

Remove the MAF sensor from the stock airbox.


STEP 16

Install the MAF sensor onto the Intake Tube (B) using the provided Gasket (K), Plate (L) and Screws (M).


STEP 17

Install the Barbed Hose Fitting (N) onto the Intake Tube (B). Hand tighten first, then use a wrench to secure.


STEP 18

Install the Coupler (H) onto the Intake Tube (B) so it is flush with the end of the intake tube.


STEP 19

Insert the Intake Tube (B) into the Airbox (A).


STEP 20

Slide the Coupler (H) over the throttle body then tighten both #52 Hose Clamp (O).


STEP 21

Remove the stock spring clip from the CCV hose and install the #8 hose clamp onto the CCV hose. Connect the CCV hose to the prong on the intake tube and tighten the hose clamp. 


STEP 22

Install the Vacuum Hose (P) and connect it to the Barbed Hose Fitting (N).


STEP 23

Reconnect the electrical harness to the MAF sensor.


STEP 24

Attach the Air Filter (C) with #84 Hose Clamps (D) to the Intake Tube (B). Tighten the hose clamp to secure the air filter to the intake tube.


STEP 25

Peel off the protective covering on the Clear Lid (I).


STEP 26

Insert the clear lid into the Snap-in Lid Seal, making sure to line up the corner cutout with the mating feature in the corner of the lid seal with the pull tab. Then, Install the Snap-in Lid seal onto the airbox by first inserting one corner onto the box, then working your way around the edges, firmly pushing down on the seal until it snaps onto the flange of the box on all sides.

Reinstall the engine cover


STEP 28

Reconnect the negative battery cable.


STEP 29

Inspect your installation, make sure the kit is properly positioned and all fasteners are secure. Keep all stock parts in case you would ever need to reinstall the stock intake assembly. Affix the ID label near the intake kit. The installation is now complete.
