CARB Status
S&B performance intake systems are legal for street use in most areas in the United States. California, and other specific regions which have adopted California air quality regulations, require an intake system to be inspected by the California Air Resources Board (CARB). If the system meets the regulatory requirements, CARB will issue an Executive Order (EO) number that verifies the intake system does not cause the vehicle to be in violation of state emissions standards. The time required to go through the regulatory process can be lengthy and there is no guarantee the system will be found acceptable for each successive vehicle model year.
The CARB status on a specific S&B product can be found on each product page of our website, under the 'Product Details' tab.
